UPVC Replacement Door Handles
Over time the handles on your doors will wear out and require replacement. It is essential to be able to match the dimensions of the handles that were previously used when replacing them.

Inline Lever/Lever
A lever handle or lever is a contemporary door handle designed to work with new or replacement doors. This type door handle is available in a wide range of styles and finishes. A number of manufacturers make this handle, including Avocet ERA, Fullex, Hoppe, Mila, Millenco & Yale.

The door handles of uPVC/Composite are made of robust materials and are perfect for doors with multi-point locks that require a heavy duty design. The handles are inline, and they utilize the same screws and spindle to secure them. They can be easily installed on any uPVC/Composite doors.
The sprung lever design allows the handle to be placed and angled for comfortable operation and is suitable for all users. The handle has been tested for endurance up to 200 000 cycles. This ensures that the quality of finish and performance will last for a long time. The sprung lever is adjustable to fit a broad range of locks. This is especially useful for doors with narrower frames, in which the cylinder is further back. A lever that is shorter is a good choice for doors where the latch could be opened by a thumb turn inside.

These handle types can either use a single spindle (inline) or independently from each side using two offset spindles or inline (pad). They are usually used on UPVC double glazed doors and are available in a variety of variations and finishes.

It is essential to ensure that the PZ dimensions of both the multipoint lock and the uPVC doors when selecting a replacement UPVC spindle and handle. This measurement is often referred to as the "handle centre" or "cylinder centres' and is a critical aspect to match the appropriate handles.
Once you have the proper PZ size, you'll have to ensure that the lever pads and push pads are in a suitable shape to fit the American with Disabilities Act (ADA) compatible handles you require for your doors. These are typically round or square with an internal lever and an external push pad.
The majority of UPVC Lever Pads that we offer are spring-loaded. This means they return to a horizontal state when they are not in use, rather than hanging and possibly being stuck in the frame. This keeps draughts out of the building. Also, the majority of the UPVC lever pad handles are hand-operated, allowing you to install them on either side of the door.
Euro Cylinder

Cylinder locks are found on uPVC and other types of doors. The cylinder lock is operated by a key which unlocks the cylinder's casing. This exposes pins that can be aligned with those inside the lock, and permit them to turn the revolving camera, opening the door. Euro Cylinders can be fitted with up to six pins with external and internal doors typically needing different levels of security.
The selection of a cylinder is vital. It is based on the use that your doors and handles will receive. For instance, exterior doors require a more secure cylinder whilst internal doors can be secured with a standard cylinder. Certain cylinders are equipped with additional features that can improve security, like anti drill or anti bump properties.
A euro cylinder must be measured accurately to ensure that it is the right size for your door. The cylinder needs to be measured from the screw hole in the center to the ends of the cylinder. This includes the thumb turn should there be one. It is recommended to do this while the lock is in place, but when this isn't possible, you can remove it to take measurements. It is crucial to not have a extension of the cylinder beyond the handle or escutcheon. This can make it vulnerable to lock snapping attacks.
The design of the latest cylinders includes anti-drilling and bump resistance features. These are designed to reduce attacks by forcing cylinders to turn in a different direction. This can to deflect attacks and keep your door safe.
Certain cylinders are constructed to resist snapping. This is a more frequent kind of attack on cylinders where the break line in the lock is attacked using a special tool to break the front of the cylinder and allow the door to open. This is a lot faster and more straightforward than opening the door with a multipoint lock and leaves little evidence of a break-in, which can impede the insurance claim.
Spring Cassette
The spring cassette is located inside the base of your door handle backplate, providing a spring solution and returning the multipoint lock handles back to their normal position after use. These handles used to have no spring and would drop when the locking mechanism was disengaged. These spring cassettes were created to be used with a spring multipoint locks. They will not fit unsprung handles and you'll have to cut a hole in your backplate in order for them to fit.
